critical mental skills for challenging times

– episode 1 –

Here are the key items you’re going to want to notice and pay close attention to as you watch / listen to the material below:

  • There’s tremendous danger in falling into and operating from a place of fear.

  • Alternatively, there’s tremendous power and insight to be gained from exercising your faith.

  • Tap into the power of inner certainty and self-belief through intentionally directing your mind and attention.

  • Whenever you don’t know what to do or you find yourself drifting toward fear, worry, or anxiety, immediately get back to acting on your mantra items – they will ground you and keep you headed in the right direction, even when you can’t see what lies ahead.

A crisis can only be overcome when you meet your challenges head on, standing tall with great resolve – Your mental posture must be intentionally chosen and cultivated. Otherwise, the environment and circumstances will choose it for you, and when this happens, you’ll lose every time.

Good thing you’re an overcomer.

Need proof?

You’re still here and you’re still standing.

No matter what you’re facing right now, stand tall so you can one day look back at this time in history and see that, despite all the chaos, it was indeed one of your finest hours.

Be well, my friends, and do the impossible.

    • Reducing negative exposure.

    • Being innovative and investing time in cultivating a positive emotional climate.

  • Be led not by your feelings, but by reminding yourself of what you know to be true.

  • Recognize that you’re in the position you’re in for a reason, and you’re serving a larger purpose.

  • Take care of yourself, and take care of your team.

Remember that you are a hero, you are greatly appreciated, and no one else can make the difference that you’re perfectly positioned to make right now.

This is your moment.

Do the impossible.

critical mental skills for challenging times

– episode 3 –

This episode looks at the challenges and opportunities people under "stay-at-home"
orders are facing, and explores important lessons that anyone can benefit from.

Here are the key items you’re going to want to notice and pay close attention to as you watch / listen to the material below:

  • Lacking focus is a critical mistake, and an easy one to make if we’re not putting measures in place to ensure we gain clarity about what needs to get done.

  • We can avoid drifting off course by thoughtfully implementing structure into our days.

  • Distractions have power only to the extent to which we haven’t disciplined ourselves to evaluate creative alternatives and ways to work around them.

  • The more things we encounter that are out of our control, the more we have to double down and focus on things we have direct control over.

If we want to survive, and ultimately thrive, we must choose to be flexible and adapt. We also need to harness the power of great questions to direct our minds and keep a healthy outlook.

Times may not be easy, but remember this: Smooth seas never made a skilled sailor.

Do the impossible.

critical mental skills for challenging times

– episode 4 –

Here are the key items you’re going to want to notice and pay close attention to as you watch / listen to the material below:

  • Make sure you’re keeping your essential services open, and filling yourself up in the core areas of your life.

  • Times of disruption present you with the perfect opportunity to dislodge unproductive patterns of behavior, so seize the moment, and upgrade your habits.

  • Sometimes when you’re searching for wise advice, you can be your own best council IF you project yourself forward and advise from a new vantage point.

You can take advantage of the moment we’re in.

What you’re going through right now may be downright unpleasant, to say the least. BUT, make sure to “grab the good.” It may not feel like it, but recognize that there are opportunities in front of you right now that you’ve never had before, so take advantage of every one you possibly can.

And there’s no greater advantage than a strong, resilient, grateful mind and heart working together.

Stay strong, my friend, and do the impossible.
